About Me
JSA Experience
2022 - 2023
Convention Coordinator
As Convention Coordinator of the ORV, I have planned several major events including Fall State, Winter Congress, and many upcoming minicons such as the Jerome and Cristo Rey minicon. This includes extensive meetings, creation of agendas, exemplary communication between departments, and other very important steps. Furthermore, I have gained so much experience in this position through the constant contact between my department and the Executives. This position has given me leadership skills, planning skills, and the foresight necessary in a Governor.
2021 - 2022
Convention Specialist
As a Convention Specialist, I completed the same tasks I did as a Convention Coordinator, but on a lesser role. As a specialist, I did less with the agenda and interdepartmental communication but more with the brainstorming and execution of Convention plans. This role has given me the confidence to think on my feet and come up with quick solutions to unexpected problems.
2022 & 2023
Winter Congress Chair
As a Chair, I was given with the privilege of leading and moderating a Committee Hearing room. These rooms can sometimes get very intense, and they require a strong Chair and Clerk to keep the debate moving forward in a civil way. From being a Chair, I know better how to be a leader, how to hold people accountable, and how to handle quick problems.
2022 - 2023
Director of Activism of New Albany Chapter
I am one of the four officers at my chapter. This position has shown me what it is like to lead a chapter, and what issues chapters can experience. Through the experiences of this position, I can better understand individual chapter weaknesses and can provide personalized support for chapters in need.
